In conjunction with this activity has sponsored the gathering and analytical study of a "complete" collection of Highland Chiapas Maya weaving: The "Pellizzi Collection" is permanently installed in the museum of the ex-Convento de Santo Domingo, San Cristobal de la Casas, Chiapas, for the care of the Institute Nacional de Antropologia e Historia.

Also connected to the Chiapas research, is the creation of a 210 acre reforested natural preserve, now called "Reserva Biotica Gertrudes Duby," in the San Cristobal valley.

Long-term project of work with a Mexican-Nahuatl shaman, in Nepopualco, Morelos, Mexico, mainly with the aim of recording his autobiography.
